Sambambyr Farm is proudly owned and operated by John R. Dunn, who acquired this stunning 25-acre property in a picturesque pecan orchard along the Clear Fork of the Trinity River in 1997.

At the same time, John was managing his successful business, Trimek Aviation, a Jet Aircraft Maintenance Facility, at Fort Worth Meacham Field. When he wasn't at the airfield, he was actively building a premier horse farm, taking on most of the construction personally.

He named the facility "Sambambyr" in tribute to his cherished endurance horse, Sambambyr, a purebred Arabian stallion. After 15 remarkable years together, "Big Sam" passed away and is honored with a burial on the property.

The farm boasts an 11-stall main barn and a 5-stall shed-row style top barn. The main barn also features the versatile option to convert 4 stalls into 2 spacious foaling stalls, each measuring 12x24 feet and equipped with outside pen access.  The farm is also equipped with a 60-foot enclosed round pen. There are also 5 pastures throughout the property. The property also offers a lighted 100x200 arena with an enclosed viewing box. The entire property is securely enclosed and cross-fenced by sturdy pipe fencing, ensuring a safe and inviting environment.
